M74 Junction 8 | Maintenance Access
Scheme Summary
ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE ACCESS INSTALLATION ON THE M74 JUNCTION 8 COMMENCES THURSDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential maintenance access installation on the M74 northbound Junction 8 on-slip from 8pm on Thursday 19th September until 6am on Friday 20th September under a full overnight closure.
Traffic wishing to use the M74 northbound Junction 8 on-slip will be directed to continue east on A71 Swinnhill Road/Ayr Road and north on the A72 Lanark Road to join the M74 northbound via the Junction 7 on-slip.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by facilitating maintenance access in this location.
